FIVE FEMALE SUICIDE BOMBERS AND THEIR COACH ARRESTED

According to a report from Thisday newspaper, The Joint Task Force in Kano has arrested a man suspected to be the master trainer of Boko Haram female suicide bombers with 16 females who were reportedly being trained for suicide operations.

The man identified as Ibrahim Ibrahim was arrested in Dala Local Government Area of kano State during a raid by JTF. We must commend the security agents for being proactive on this one after the sad events of suicide bombings that took place during the Sallah celebrations.

DON’T FIGHT BOKO HARAM-SOLDIERS WIVES PROTEST IN MAIDUGURI

Wives of soldiers of the 21 Armoured Brigade, Nigerian Army, Giwa Barracks Maiduguri numbering over 100 caused pandemonium yesterday in Maiduguri when they staged a protest against the deployment of their husbands to go and confront the Boko Haram in areas said to have been captured by the terrorist group. The women who blocked the entrance of to the Barracks said there was no way their husbands would be allowed to leave their homes to go and take on the terrorists with the inferior weapons that they were given. They insisted that engaging with the insurgents with the kind of weapons made available to the soldiers was nothing short of a suicide mission.

Before this protest, soldiers’ wives at the Maimalari Barracks also in Maiduguri had stage a similar protest against the same issue.
